About Dr. Simon Hong

A perfectionist with a keen eye for detail, Dr. Simon Hong found dentistry to be his destined professional niche. While studying the craft in college, he realized that he truly held the ability to make a difference in not only someone’s smile, but their self-esteem and life. Having an affinity for science, engineering, and the arts, restorative dentistry fit Dr. Hong perfectly. His field of concentration demands incredible attention to detail to achieve a superior esthetic and functional result the patient can experience and feel. Dr. Hong loves the opportunity dentistry gives him to spend extended periods of time working one-on-one with patients rather than a revolving-door type of work environment.

When he’s not in scrubs, Dr. Simon Hong enjoys spending time being a dedicated husband to his wife Lily and a loving father to his son Aidan. Among his favorite hobbies are skiing, snowboarding and spending time on the basketball court shooting hoops.

Education

While earning his degree in dental medicine from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Simon Hong was awarded with Clinical Excellence in Periodontology during his senior year and a Nobel Biocare Course Certificate. He pursued his master’s degree in public health from Loma Linda University School of Public Health after attending the University of California, Irvine for biological sciences as an undergraduate. Dr. Simon Hong is also the recipient of the America’s Top Dentist award which is given by the Consumers' Research Council of America based on experience, board certification, professional affiliations and continuing education.

Professional Affiliations

Currently, he is a member and pursuing a fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Simon Hong focused his post-graduate training on advanced restorative dentistry as well as comprehensive esthetics. To stay current and cutting-edge in his skills, he finished 3 years of training with esthetic professionals in advanced esthetics, full-mouth reconstruction, and complex prosthodontics.
